If you are planning on purchasing uniform for your child, follow these steps to find their sizes and get the best fit. If you need any further help or information, please contact us.

Height

Have your child stand as straight and tall as possible against a wall. Your child should wear socks but no shoes. Place a book or other stiff object on his/her head parallel to the floor and mark the spot where the book meets the wall. Measure from the floor to the mark. Chalk or a very light pencil mark will be easiest to erase when you are done.

Chest/Bust

Have your child stand with his/her arms out to the sides. Measure at the fullest part of the chest/bust over underwear. Your tape measure should be snug but not tight.

Inseam/Inside Leg

Have your child stand up straight with his/her legs slightly apart. Your child should wear socks but no shoes. Measure from the crotch, along the leg to where you want the trousers or shorts to finish. This is the inside leg measurement.

Waist

Have your child stand with his/her arms out to the sides. For trousers measure over underwear at the smallest part of the waist. Again, your tape measure should be snug but not tight. Should your child be plus fit and prefer to wear their trousers under their tummies, then measure around the under tummy and buy by this waist size, rather than the fullest part of the stomach.

Seat/Hips

Have your child stand comfortably and measure over underwear at the fullest part of the seat/hips. As with the other measurements, the tape measure should be snug but not tight.

Tips We recommend

If your child wears their trousers under their tummies, measure here to get their waist measurement for the best fit.
If you are measuring an existing pair of trousers, button them up and lay them flat on a table or floor. Take care to pull any wrinkles or fullness from the back panels.

Waist, Hip and Inside Leg

Waist Measurement A-B:
Measure from one side of the garment to the other, A to B. The total distance of this measurement, multiplies by 2 is the waist measurement.
Hip Measurement C-D:
To get the Hip measurement, do the same, measuring across C to D
Inside Leg Measurement E-F:
To get the inside leg measurement, measure from the inside of the crutch to the base of the hem, or where you want your child's trousers to finish, E to F.

Waist and Seat

For the waist depth, please measure from the top of the waist band to the crotch seam. Do this at the back of the trousers to get your seat depth measurement.

A to B multiplied by 2 = Waist
C to D multiplied by 2 = Hips
E to F = Inside leg
G to H = Front rise
I to J = Seat depth
